We are based out of the Shanti Housing Society in the More Wasti area of Chinchwad. Being near Sane Chowk makes it easy for us to get around the neighborhood. We spend most of our time packing up boxes and moving furniture for people who are changing houses. It’s heavy work and can be pretty tiring, but we’re used to the lifting. Our team is just a group of local guys who know how to wrap a sofa so it doesn’t get scratched up in the truck. We don’t have a fancy office building; we mostly work out of the van and the small space we have for storing tape and bubble wrap. Sometimes we have to carry things up five flights of stairs when the lift is broken, which isn't fun but it’s part of the job. We try to be careful with people's belongings because we know how much their stuff means to them. It’s not a complicated business. Someone calls us, we show up with the boxes, and we move everything to the new place. We’ve seen a lot of different houses around Chinchwad over the years. Some days are longer than others, especially when a move takes more time than we thought. We just keep at it until the last box is off the truck. It gets sweaty and dusty work, but that’s the nature of the business.
