Chandwadkar Optics & Optometric Clinic

Our shop is located at 27/1, specifically Shop Number 2 inside the Amar Centre. We are right by the 15 August Chowk in Somwar Peth. It’s a very active area with plenty of people walking by all the time. The shop itself is not very large but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. There are rows of frames along the walls and a small area in the back for the testing. The floor tiles are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We open the shutters early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It gets a bit noisy from the chowky outside but we are used to the sound of the horns and people talking. We don't have a big corporate team, just us working here every day. We keep the registers by hand in a big notebook on the counter. The glass on the display cases needs a lot of wiping because of the fingerprints. People come in from all around Somwar Peth to get their eyes checked or to fix their broken frames. We don't do any big advertisements. Most people just see our sign when they are passing through the Amar Centre. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. We just focus on the glasses and making sure the lenses fit right for the customers.
