Our place is located right on the Wagholi Kesnand Road. It is officially called Bsdt'S Ayurved Hospital And Research Centre, though most of us just think of it as the local center for traditional medicine. We have been here for a long time, dealing with patients who prefer a different way of looking at their health. The building houses both the hospital beds and a small area where we do research into various herbs and treatments. Because of the nature of what we do, the atmosphere is usually a bit more relaxed and quieter than a typical general hospital. When you walk inside, you will immediately notice the smell of different oils and dried plants. It is a scent that some people love and others have to get used to. We spend quite a bit of time sitting with our patients, talking about their daily habits and the food they eat, which means consultations are never rushed. It is a slow process compared to modern medicine. We also get students and other researchers coming through because of the research side of things. The building itself is plain and does not have any of that corporate polish. We have some plants growing around the entrance, and the waiting room has simple wooden benches. We do not do any big promotions. Most people come to us because they are looking for something specific that they cannot find elsewhere. We just focus on keeping our traditions going and helping the people who walk in from Kesnand Road.
