Bharat Kokane

We are based in Mahadik Niwas, over in Keshavnagar, Kasarwadi. It’s a part of Pune that we’ve known for years. Bharat started this whole thing up. The place is an old style building, the kind where you know all your neighbors. We work from one of the floors there. It isn't a modern office park with glass elevators. It’s just a plain room with some sturdy wooden furniture. We have a window that looks out onto the street. You can see the traffic and people walking by. It keeps us connected to what’s happening outside. We don't have much of a formal structure. We just talk to each other and get the work sorted. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon. It’s a small ritual that helps us get through the second half of the day. The paperwork builds up fast, so we spend a lot of time filing things away. It’s not the most exciting work, but it has to be done. We don't use any big words to describe ourselves. We are just here, doing our jobs every day. If someone needs us, they usually just drop by or give a call. We don't do much on the internet or with social media. Word of mouth works just fine for us. It’s how things have always been done around here. We’re happy with that. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy in Kasarwadi. Drop by if you are around.
