Out here in Pimpri 42/1, the machines at Balson Polymers stay running for most of the day. We work with different kinds of plastics and polymer materials, making small parts that most people probably never even notice in their daily lives. The unit is a bit noisy and it stays pretty warm inside the shop, especially during the summer months when the sun hits the roof. We have a small crew of guys who have been working with us since we first opened the doors. We mostly deal with industrial orders, so there are always stacks of crates and bags of raw materials sitting near the loading bay. It is not exactly the cleanest place in the world because there are usually plastic shavings on the floor, but we keep the output steady. We started off small and just kept adding a machine here and there as we grew. It is a very practical setup. We do not spend much time sitting in the office; usually, we are out on the floor making sure the molds are set right and the quality is where it needs to be. Dealing with the suppliers and the truck drivers takes up a lot of our morning time. Pimpri can be a tough area for traffic, so we are always checking the clock when shipments are supposed to go out. We just do our thing, keep our heads down, and try to make sure every batch of product comes out right.
