Balaji Tractor

We've been over here on G Road in Manjari for a while now. It is a busy spot on the 1st Main. Most days you will find us around the workshop or near the front where the tractors are parked. People come by when they need parts or if something on the machine isn't running quite right. It gets dusty, especially during the harvest season. We try to keep things organized but there is always a lot going on. Sometimes the phone rings and we can't get to it because we are out back. If you are driving down G Road near house 26, you will see the sign. It is a local place. Not much to look at but we have the parts that farmers usually need. We deal with various models and some older stuff too. My father started things out and now we just keep it moving. It's mostly about the day-to-day work here. We drink a lot of tea while talking about engines. Some folks just stop by to ask about the rain or how the crops are looking this year. It's just how things go in Manjari. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just the tools and the space to work on the big machines. We have a lot of old parts lying around in bins that have been here since the nineties. It takes a minute to find the right bolt or gear sometimes. The floor is stained with oil and there's always a half-finished cup of tea sitting on the workbench. It is a bit old-fashioned I guess. We all help each other out when someone needs a tool. We wear grease-stained clothes and work with our hands every single day. If you see the big green gate at number 26, that is us. Just walk in and shout if nobody is at the front.
