Balaji Hair Cutting Salon

I am at Balaji Hair Cutting Salon, which you can find in Ghorpade Peth, right near the Swargate area. Our shop is directly opposite the Mahatma Phule Wada, which is a big local landmark that everyone knows. It’s a modest little place where we’ve been serving the neighborhood for years. The area around Swargate is always full of energy, with buses and people moving around constantly. In our salon, things move a bit slower. We take our time with each person who sits in the chair. It is a basic setup with the usual scissors, combs, and spray bottles. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle a pair of shears. Most of our customers live right here in Ghorpade Peth and have been coming to us since we opened. We hear a lot of stories about what’s happening in the wada across the street or the latest news from the market. It’s the kind of place where you can just relax for a bit while getting your hair done. We don't use any fancy language or try to be something we aren't. It is just a neighborhood hair cutting shop where the floor is usually covered in hair by the end of the day. We are happy being part of this busy corner of Pune. It’s a practical business for practical people, and that suits us just fine. Most days we are just happy to have a steady stream of familiar faces.
