Paud Road is usually a nightmare with all the traffic and the constant honking, but once you get inside the Prasad building, it’s a bit quieter. We are in unit 2B on the second floor. The office is small, just enough space for our desks and a big table for the drawings and blueprints. Opposite Lorishna Colony, you can see people walking to the market in the morning. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and paper. Sometimes the ink runs out right when you need to print a plan. It’s just how things go in a busy office. The walls are covered in old sketches and some notes we taped up months ago. There’s a small pantry area where we keep the kettle for tea. Tea is important when you’re staying late to finish a design. We don't have any fancy reception area. Just some chairs for people to sit while we talk about their houses or projects. Dapodi Sahar is a long way for some, but we’ve been here at this address for a good while now. The window looks out over a tree that gets very loud with birds in the evening. It’s a decent place to work for Atulya Patwardhan Architects & Interior Designer. We just focus on the lines and the measurements. It gets dusty because of the main road, so we have to wipe the tables every single morning. It’s not a perfect setup but it is our space.
