Asian Eye Hospital

You can find Asian Eye Hospital on the 3rd floor of the Sakar Building. We are on Sasoon Road, which is right by the Pune Station. A lot of people find us by looking for the FAB India shop because we are right above it. Being on the third floor gives us a bit of a view of the chaos down at the station, though we usually have the blinds closed. Since we deal with eyes, a lot of our rooms have to be dark for the tests anyway. The building is one of those older ones in Pune that has a lot of character, but the elevator can be a bit temperamental sometimes. We see all kinds of people, from students who can’t see the blackboard to older folks who are having trouble with cataracts. Across the street is Jahangir Hospital, so the whole area is basically a medical hub. It gets very busy in the afternoons. Inside our place, we try to keep things organized, but on Mondays, it is always a bit of a scramble with all the people coming in. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. We just check your vision, look at your eyes, and tell you what we find. The staff has been here for years, so we all know how the routine goes. It is a decent place to work and a steady spot for anyone in Pune who needs their eyes checked.
