Ashutosh Pokharna Architect

Ashutosh Pokharna Architect is located at Survey No 1511 on Tilak Road. We’re right in Sadashiv Peth, and it’s a very central spot, especially being on the Mumbai Bangalore Highway. Being opposite the Tilak Smarak Mandir means everyone knows the landmark. The office is usually full of large rolls of paper and various drawing tools. It’s a bit of a mess, to be honest. There are pencils everywhere and some coffee mugs that should probably be washed. We spend a lot of time bent over desks looking at plans. It can get a bit tiring on the back, so we take breaks to walk around. The noise from the highway is pretty constant, but you stop hearing it after a few months. We’ve been working from this location for quite some time. It’s a good spot because people can find us easily. We don’t have a big receptionist or a fancy lobby. You just walk in and we’re right there working. Sometimes we have samples of bricks or tiles laying around on the floor. It’s a working office, not a gallery. We try to keep things practical. We talk to people about what they want to build and then we try to draw it out. It takes a lot of time and a lot of erasing. We aren't about big corporate presentations. We just show the drawings and talk about how things will fit together. It’s a busy life here on Tilak Road and there is always something new to do.
