Ashirwad Pan Centre & General Stores

Ashirwad Pan Centre & General Stores has been at Viman Nagar 35 for a good while now. It is just me and one other guy mostly, keeping the shelves stocked with whatever people in the neighborhood usually need. We have the usual stuff like biscuits, soaps, and cold drinks in the fridge which sometimes acts up when it’s hot outside. The pan counter is right at the front. I spend a lot of time cutting betel nuts and getting the leaves ready before the evening rush starts. People stop their bikes right outside, grab a smoke or some snacks, and then head off to work or home. It’s a small space, so things get a bit cramped when a few people come in at once. We don't have fancy lights or anything. Just the basic tubes. Sometimes the delivery guys come late and we have to wait around to count the crates. Viman Nagar is always busy, so there is plenty of noise from the street. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, boxes just pile up in the corner. It’s just how it goes here. We open early and stay open until late at night. There’s not much to it, just running the shop and making sure we have what people ask for. It gets dusty being so close to the road, so we are always wiping things down. We see a lot of people every day and just try to get through the work without too much trouble.
