Ashirwad Eye Clinic

You can find us up on the first floor of Swamipuram, right there at 115 in Sadashiv Peth. We are quite close to the S P College Ground and the Dandekar Bridge. It’s a busy part of town, so finding a parking spot can be a bit of a headache sometimes. Ashirwad Eye Clinic has been here for a while. Being on the first floor means people have to walk up the stairs, but it gives us a nice view of the street from the window. The clinic is mostly filled with those big machines we use to check people's vision. They take up a lot of space. We have a lot of older folks from the Sadashiv Peth area coming in because their eyes aren't what they used to be. Sometimes the waiting area gets a bit loud when everyone starts talking about the old days. My desk is tucked into a corner and is usually piled high with frames and lenses that need sorting. We don't have fancy lighting, just the standard tubes that flicker a bit when you first turn them on in the morning. It’s not a glamorous place, but we take care of the people who walk through the door. Working with eyes is delicate work, and it requires a lot of patience. Sometimes I have to tell people to sit still for the fifth time, but that’s just part of the job. It’s a good community to be in here in Sadashiv Peth.
