Arti Beauty Parlour

Arti Beauty Parlour is situated in Mangalwar Peth, inside the Shri Sai Pratisthan building. This part of Pune is quite central, so there is always a lot of activity happening all around us. Our shop is a modest space where we do basic beauty work for the women in the area. It is not one of those high-end salons with expensive decorations or leather chairs. We have our mirrors, some simple stools, and the tools we need for the day laid out on a table. Most of our furniture is getting a bit old now, but it still does the job just fine. We get a mix of different people coming in, from office workers who are in a hurry to housewives who have some time to spare. The atmosphere here is very casual and relaxed. We don't wear uniforms or have a formal way of talking to people. We just chat with everyone like they are our old friends. Sometimes the building itself gets a bit noisy with all the other shops and activities going on, but we have grown used to it. We keep our schedules pretty flexible because people often just walk in without calling us first. We spend a lot of our time sweeping up the floor and cleaning our equipment. It is just a regular daily grind for us. We have a small window that lets in a bit of natural light.
