Ar. Sonam Lunavat

I’m Sonam Lunavat, and my architecture practice is based in Omkar Complex on Medipoint Hospital Road. We are located pretty close to the DAV School in the Aundh area of Pune. It’s a good neighborhood to work in, and I've been here for a while now. I mostly spend my time working on residential designs, helping people figure out how to build their homes from scratch or fix up what they already have. It’s not just about making things look pretty; it’s mostly about the structure and the way people actually move through a room. I usually meet folks at the office to go over their ideas. Sometimes they have a very clear picture of what they want, and other times they just know they need more space for their family. I don’t use a lot of fancy words when I talk about my work. I just explain why a certain wall should go in a specific spot or how we can get more sunlight into the house during the day. Aundh is growing quite a bit these days, so there is almost always a new project starting somewhere nearby. I handle the drawings, the municipal permissions, and keep an eye on the construction when it finally starts. It’s a lot of back and forth between the computer and the actual building site. I like the process of seeing something go from a simple pencil sketch to a real building where people live. I keep things pretty low-key here.
