Our place is located at N R Road 12 in the Bhosari Industrial Estate. It is right in the middle of all the factories and warehouses that make up this part of town. We work with polymers, which basically means the air here usually smells a bit like hot plastic and machinery. There are several large machines that run for most of the day, making a steady humming sound that you eventually stop noticing. We have racks of raw materials and finished parts waiting to be shipped out to various clients. The floor is marked with yellow lines, but they’ve faded over the years from all the forklifts and heavy boots. It’s not a clean environment like an office; there’s always a bit of grit on the surfaces. We wear heavy work clothes and spend a lot of time checking the settings on the equipment to make sure everything is running okay. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon with tools out, trying to get it moving again. We get our deliveries at the main gate, and sometimes the trucks have a hard time backing in when the road is crowded. It’s a practical kind of place where we focus on production. We aren't trying to be anything other than a working unit in the Bhosari area. The clock on the wall is a bit slow, but we all know that by now.
