I’ve been based in Sadashiv Peth at number 1367 for quite a few years now. It’s a traditional part of town, and I like being right in the middle of all that history. My space is on the ninth floor, so I get a bit of a view of the rooftops if I look out the small window. Usually, people come to see me when they’re feeling a bit stuck or just want to talk about what’s coming next in their lives. I keep my charts and books scattered around the table. It might look like a mess to someone else, but there’s a system to it. I don’t use any fancy computer programs for everything; I still prefer writing things down by hand on paper. It feels more real that way. The building itself is a bit noisy during the day with people coming and going, but my room stays relatively quiet. I spend a lot of time reading and just thinking about the stars and how they move. It’s a slow kind of work. I’m not interested in rushing anyone out the door. If someone needs an hour, they get an hour. I’ve lived in this city all my life, so I know the local ways. Most of my visitors come through word of mouth, which is fine by me. I just do what I do and hope it helps someone clear their head and find some peace.
