Amit Transport

We’ve been here at Sangavi Plot No 195/2 for a while now. It’s right in Bhalekar Nagar, near Survey No 2. Mostly, we just handle the trucks coming in and out all day. It gets dusty sometimes, especially when the weather is dry. People around here know where we are. We have a small office space where we keep the paperwork. It isn't fancy, just some desks and chairs and the smell of tea in the morning. Sometimes the drivers sit around waiting for their next load and we talk about the roads or how the traffic is getting worse. My desk is usually covered in receipts and logs. We try to keep things moving so nothing sits too long. The plot has enough space for a couple of vehicles, but it gets tight if everyone shows up at once. You see a lot of different faces coming through here. Some drivers have been with us for years, and we know their families and where they’re from. It’s just how it is at Amit Transport. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking where everyone is. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day. Bhalekar Nagar is a busy spot, so there’s always noise from the street. We’re used to it by now. Just regular people doing regular work, making sure things get where they need to go without too much trouble. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this office.
