Aman Transport Corporation

Aman Transport Corporation has been part of the Akurdi landscape for a while now. We don’t have a fancy office with glass walls; it’s more of a place where you can walk in and see the grease on our hands from helping the mechanics out back. Transport is a tough business, and being located in Akurdi means we are right in the middle of all the action. We spend our days coordinating with drivers and making sure the lorries are in good enough shape to make the long hauls. It’s a lot of talking on mobile phones and writing things down on scraps of paper until they can be entered into the main logbook. We don't use any high-tech gadgets or marketing slogans. We just know how to move goods. Sometimes the office is quiet, and other times it’s full of drivers complaining about the highway tolls or the price of diesel. We listen to it all and just keep things moving. The walls are a bit stained, and the furniture is old, but it works for us. We’ve built a life around these trucks and the roads they travel. It’s not a job for everyone, especially with the long hours and the constant worry about delays, but it’s the life we chose and we’re still here doing it every single day. We grab some food when we can and keep the wheels turning.
