Aker Solutions has a small setup in Pune at Flat No 19, Tulip A1, which is part of the Part II Sukhwani Campus in Vallabh Nagar. The pin code is 411018. It’s basically a flat converted into a workspace, which gives it a very different feel than a massive office building. It’s cozy, or maybe just a bit small, depending on how many people are in that day. Being in the Sukhwani Campus means we’re surrounded by other people living their lives, which keeps us grounded. We don’t have a big corporate sign out front, just a regular door. Inside, we deal with the usual technical and solution-based work we’re known for. It’s a quiet atmosphere for the most part, unless we’re having a disagreement about a design. We like being in Vallabh Nagar. It’s a decent area of Pune and not too hard to get to. The team here is small and we all know each other well. There’s no need for fancy titles or corporate jargon in a place like this. We just drink our tea, do our work on the computers, and head home when the day is done. It’s a simple, honest way to run a branch office. We don’t pretend to be anything we’re not. It’s just a regular group of engineers working in a residential complex because it works for us right now.
