Akanksha Eye Clinic

You can find our clinic at Shop No 30 in the Sacred Heart Town complex. We’ve been in the Wanowrie area for quite some time now, and we've seen how the neighborhood has grown over the years. It’s a decent area to work in, mostly quiet during the week except for the occasional delivery truck. The clinic isn’t very big, but it’s got just enough room for the eye charts and the machines we use for testing vision. Most of the day is spent checking eyes and helping people find frames that aren't going to slide down their noses. It gets a bit repetitive after a while, but it’s honest work. We see a lot of kids from the local schools and older folks who have lived in Sacred Heart Town since it was built. The shop is tucked away a bit, so you have to keep an eye out for our sign when you're walking through. We don’t have a big lobby with fancy sofas. There are just a few chairs and some old magazines on a table to look at. It feels like a normal part of the local community here in Wanowarie. We know many of the people who walk past our window every morning. Sometimes when it's slow, we just sit and watch the street for a bit. It’s a small team of us, just making sure the equipment is clean and the lights stay on. We deal with blurry vision and eye strain mostly.
