Ab Instruments

Sharad Chavan is usually around the office here at P 31 in the Giriraj Housing Society. Being in Bijalinagar, Chinchwad, we are right in the middle of a lot of residential houses and small shops. We work with instruments, the kind of stuff that needs to be accurate or it’s useless. It’s a bit of a niche thing, but Pune has enough industry that there’s always someone looking for a specific tool or a gauge. The office isn't much to look at, just some shelves with boxes and a workbench where we check things out. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and making sure the inventory is what it says on the box. Sometimes the rain in Pune makes the commute a bit of a mess, but we show up anyway. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, so the neighbors know us. It’s not like those big factories nearby; it’s more personal here. We might be drinking tea and talking about the weather one minute and then looking at a technical manual the next. It’s just how we run things. Nothing too formal, just making sure the equipment is ready when someone needs it. If you know the Bijalinagar area, finding us isn't too hard. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. It keeps the lights on and we like the routine of it all. It’s just a local business doing its thing.
