Aayatis Interiors

We are located on Gurdayal Singh Road in Deccan Gymkhana. The shop is usually full of wood scraps and fabric samples. I spend a lot of time measuring things and writing down dimensions on pieces of scrap paper. It’s a messy business because we are always making something. The smell of glue and varnish is pretty strong most days. We don't have a polished showroom with perfect lighting. Our space is more like a workshop where things actually get built. Sometimes I have to move three chairs just to find my stapler. People come in with pictures they cut out of magazines and we try to see if we can make something similar but for a better price. We’ve been at this address, 41276, for quite some time. The traffic on the road outside can get pretty bad in the afternoons, so we usually do our heavy moving in the early morning. I’ve got a couple of guys who help with the sanding and the heavy lifting. We don't have a fancy website or a salesperson. If you come in, you just talk to me or whoever is holding a hammer. It’s a practical way to run a business. We focus on getting the joints tight and the finish smooth. The floor is always covered in sawdust by five o'clock, but we clean it up and start over the next day. It's hard work but it keeps us busy every week.
