Aakar Studio

We've been here in Chinchwad East for a while now. Most people know us because of the big sign out front in G Block. The studio is usually a bit of a mess with papers and sketches everywhere. We started out just doing small projects for neighbors but it grew. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Ga 6, so we just sit and wait or talk. It isn't a fancy place with leather chairs. We mostly have old wooden desks and computers that hum too loud. I spend most of my day looking at screens or trying to find a specific pen that someone walked off with. It’s a job like any other, really. We open up early when the tea stall across the street starts getting busy. People come in with ideas that don't always make sense on paper, and we try to figure out how to make them look right. Some days are slow and we just clean the glass or reorganize the files. Other days we are running around trying to finish things before the sun goes down. We've got some old shelves that lean a bit to one side, but they hold the books just fine. Most of the time, the floor needs a good sweep because of the scraps we leave around. The address is 2 G Block, right in the middle of everything. It’s noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the work.
