Aakar Architects

We are over here at Plot No 13 on Regerd Avenue, right by Sambhaji Chowk on R C Dutt Road. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty busy around here. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit down and get the drawings done. We’ve got stacks of paper everywhere and the computers are always humming. Most of the time, someone is out at a site checking on things while the rest of us stay back to work on the plans. Architects spend a lot of time just thinking and drawing lines. It can be a bit slow some days. We’ve been at this Nigdi location for a bit now. You can hear the traffic from the chowk through the windows if it's a loud day. We usually have tea around four. It helps when you’ve been looking at a screen for too long. Sometimes clients drop by just to see how their project is coming along. We show them the latest sketches and talk about where the windows should go. It's not like the movies. There is a lot of boring stuff like permits and measuring things twice. We just try to make sure everything fits together like it's supposed to. If you are looking for us, look for the sign near the corner. It's a small place but we get the job done. We don't really do big fancy speeches here. We just draw.
