A R Pradhan

I’m over here at Aundh Baner Road, right at the start at number 1. A R Pradhan isn't hard to find if you know the area, though the traffic on this road can be a real headache some afternoons. I’ve spent a lot of time looking out the window at the cars going by while I’m thinking. The office is pretty simple. We have the basic furniture and a lot of papers that seem to grow into piles if we don't watch out and organize them every Friday. It’s a quiet enough spot once you get inside and shut the door to the street. I usually walk from the nearby bus stop, and you see the same people every day. It’s a mix of old houses and new shops popping up everywhere around here lately. The building we are in has been around for a bit. It’s got that lived-in feel. I wouldn’t say it’s the most modern place in Pune, but it works for what we do. We don't really do much in the way of decorating the walls. Just some calendars and the usual desk setup. People come in and we just talk like regular folks. No big speeches or fancy meetings or anything like that. It’s mostly just making sure the daily tasks are finished before it's time to head home. Baner is changing fast with all the new buildings, but our little corner stays pretty much the same as it was.
