A One Mens Parlour

A One Mens Parlour has been sitting here in Shivaji Nagar for a good while now. If you live in Pune, you probably know the area gets pretty crowded, especially around 411005. I spend most of my day standing by the chair, just waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s not a big fancy place or anything like that. We have the usual mirrors and some chairs that have seen better days, but they work just fine for what we need. Most of the guys who come in just want a quick trim or a shave so they can get back to their jobs. I see a lot of the same faces every month. Sometimes we talk about the traffic outside or how the weather is getting too hot for this time of year. Shivaji Nagar is a busy spot, so there is always noise from the street coming in. I keep the tools clean and the floor swept as much as I can, though hair gets everywhere by noon. It’s just honest work, nothing more to it than that. I don't really have a big story to tell about why we started, it was just a way to make a living and serve the neighborhood people.
