Sakthi Tution Center

Sakthi Tution Center is located at number 10, Puthuvai Barathi, right opposite the post office in Pondicherry. Being across from the post office makes it very easy to explain our location to anyone new. It’s a central part of town, so there is always something going on outside with people coming and going. The building is an older one, and you have to walk up a few steps to get inside. The rooms are a bit small, but we’ve managed to fit enough desks and chairs for the students. We keep things very basic here. There are some old posters on the walls and a clock that ticks quite loudly when the room is quiet. We spend most of our time just managing the different groups that come in throughout the day. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, especially since we are right in the middle of the city, so we keep the windows open as much as we can. Sometimes the noise from the post office or the traffic can be a bit much, but we just raise our voices a little to be heard. We don’t have any fancy office staff, just us doing everything from teaching to cleaning the floors. It’s a modest setup and we don’t try to make it look like something it’s not. It’s just a place in the city where students come to get their work done.
