Impulse It Academy

Impulse It Academy is located on the busy Thirukkanur Main Road in Gandhipuram. It’s a straightforward place with a few rows of computers and some whiteboards. We started this because there weren’t many places around here where kids or working people could just sit down and learn how to use software properly. Fancy institutions or big universities aren't what we are about. It is just a small center at No182/C where we teach practical skills that help people find better jobs. Most hours, the room is full of the sound of clicking keys and students asking questions. Sharing keyboards happens sometimes when it gets really crowded in the evenings. We keep the place open late because that is when most people can make it after their regular work hours. Finding us is easy since we are right near the main bus stop. Scratched-up desks and old chairs fill the room, but the computers work just fine. Using big words or complicated theories isn't our way of teaching. Instead, we just show people where to click and how to write code or manage their data. Success here takes a lot of repetition and practice. Many different students have come through these doors over the years. Some stay for a month, while others stay for a whole year. Being part of the community here and seeing people learn something useful is the best part of the job.
