French Food House

You can find us over on Kandapamudaliyar Street in Pondicherry. We are located at number 65, which is right near the Universal shop. It’s an old part of town, and the streets are a bit narrow, but that’s what makes it feel like home to us. We’ve been running French Food House here for some time now. It’s a simple building, nothing too flashy on the outside or the inside. We just wanted to open a place where people could get a decent meal without any fuss. Being in Pondicherry, we get a mix of locals and people just visiting for the weekend. The street can get pretty busy with scooters and people walking past, but we try to keep a calm atmosphere inside our doors. We don't really spend money on fancy menus or decorations. We just use what we have and focus on the cooking. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see us sitting at one of the tables when it’s quiet. We like being part of this neighborhood. There is a lot of history on this street, and we feel like we fit right in. We open up every morning and stay until the dinner crowd thins out. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't make big promises, we just show up and keep the kitchen going for anyone who stops by number 65.
