Eshwari Rice Mill

Started here in Maindipet quite some time back. We are just by the Government Bus Stand, so there is always noise and people moving around all day. It’s a busy spot for us. The mill runs most days when the weather is right and the harvest comes in. We handle a lot of local grain that comes from the fields around here. It gets dusty inside the shed, but that is just part of the job when you work with rice. People know where we are because of the big gates and the smell of the husks being processed. Sometimes the machinery is loud and we have to shout to hear each other, but we are used to it by now. My family has been around this area for a while and we just keep things moving. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just basic milling for the folks who need it. The building is old but it stays sturdy enough for the machines. Most mornings start early before the sun is even up properly. We check the bags and see what needs doing for the day. If you walk past the bus stand, you can’t really miss us. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the rice is ready when the farmers come back to pick it up. It is a simple life in this part of town, and we like being right in the middle of it all.
