Dass Rice Agencies

Our place, Dass Rice Agencies, sits right on Jawaharlal Nehru Street at number 197. It is not hard to find if you are looking for us. We are quite close to Jayaram Chetty Garden, which is a nice landmark in the Vanarapet area. The street is always loud with traffic and people moving about at all hours. We handle a lot of rice bags here, and they are quite heavy to move around. The floor is usually covered in a bit of white dust from the sacks. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit of time now. It’s not a big corporate office. It’s just a warehouse style shop with plenty of stock piled up high. You can smell the grain when you walk in through the door. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow road and the neighbors complain, but we try to move as fast as we can. The humidity in Vanarapet can be really tough during the summer months. We just keep the old fans going and keep on working through the heat. People come in asking for all different varieties of rice. We don’t do any big ads or anything like that. Mostly people just know us from being around the garden area for so long. It is a very straightforward business. We show up, we load the bags, and then we go home. It's a lot of physical work, but it’s what we know how to do. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint. But for now, it works fine for us and the customers who drop by.
