D D Ice Factory

D D Ice Factory is located at 33 Karuvalikuppam Street in Muthialpet. We aren't like a regular shop where people come to sit down. This is an industrial spot where we actually make the ice. The machines are pretty loud and they run for most of the day and night to freeze the water into big blocks. It stays very damp and cold inside the building, which is necessary for the work. We move a lot of heavy ice blocks around every day to get them ready for the trucks. Our address on Karuvalikuppam Street is usually busy with vehicles coming to pick up loads for fish markets or parties. It’s hard work and your hands get very cold even with gloves on. We’ve been at this location for a while and the building has some wear and tear on it. We don't worry much about how the front looks because we are focused on production. The floor is almost always wet from the melting scrap ice. We just do our job and make sure the supply is ready when the customers show up with their vans. It’s a very practical business. We don't have a lot of time for chatting because the ice doesn't wait. People know where to find us when they need cooling for their goods. It’s just us doing the daily grind in the cold air, making sure the blocks are frozen solid for delivery.
