Zpp High School

Our spot is tucked away at 8C/13 in the Awas Vikas Colony in Jhunsi. It’s a quiet enough area of Allahabad, mostly just houses and families living their lives. Zpp High School has been part of this little corner for a good while. People usually find us by looking for the colony office and then turning into the lanes. The pincode here is 211019. It’s not a massive campus with fancy gates. It’s more of a neighborhood school where you know the faces of the people walking by. We spend our mornings opening up the windows to let the air in before it gets too hot. The classrooms have high ceilings and heavy fans that hum all through the afternoon. Sometimes the cows from the nearby field wander close to the boundary wall. It’s just an ordinary day-to-day existence for us. We keep the registers updated and the floors swept as best as we can. You won’t find any glossy brochures here. We just have the name painted on the wall outside. The kids come from the surrounding blocks, walking or riding their bikes through the colony paths. It feels like a small community. When the sun sets, the building is dark and quiet until the next morning starts it all over again. We keep a few spare chairs in the hallway for visitors who might drop by.
