We are located out in Chaopurakasho, which is in the Pahadpur area of Harchandpur. We work out of Ram Awadh’s place. The name we have is Unnatkisaan Navkrishak Farmers Producer Company Limited, which is a bit long to say, but it describes what we are trying to do. We are just a group of local farmers who wanted to improve how we handle our business. Ram Awadh has been here a long time and his place is a central spot for many of us. We spend our time discussing the best ways to plant and when the best time is to take everything to the market. Harchandpur is a quiet region, and our work follows the rhythm of the seasons. There is no corporate polish here. We wear our work clothes to the meetings because we usually come straight from the fields. We handle the collection of the harvest and make sure the paperwork is filled out for the government requirements. It is a lot of simple, repetitive tasks that keep the whole thing moving. We aren't doing this for fame or to become some big industry leader. We just want to make sure the kisaans in Pahadpur have a fair shake when it comes to selling their hard work. Most evenings you can find us at the house, just going over the numbers and making plans for the next month.
