Anamika Classes

We are set up right here in Anand Villa on the busy GT Road. If you are coming from Mirzapur Road, you will see us near the ICICI Bank. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows that bank. Our place isn't anything like those big modern offices you see in magazines. It’s a bit older, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it’s where we do our work. We have been in Azad Nagar for quite some time now. Every morning, I come in and open the windows to let the air in, even if the traffic noise from the main road comes with it. We just have simple wooden desks and some boards on the walls. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have the fans going. People around Allahabad know us as Anamika Classes. We don't do any big advertisements or anything like that. Students mostly find us through their friends. It is a small team here, just a couple of us handling the subjects and the paperwork. We spend our time going over books and helping the kids who walk in after their school is done. It is a very regular, everyday kind of life here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help out with the lessons. The local tea stall guy brings us chai around four, and that is usually the highlight of our day. It is simple work.
