Surachi Beauty Parlour & Taining Centre

Our parlour is situated in Jayantipur, right near the Preetam Nagar More on G T Road. It’s a busy intersection in Allahabad. We call it Surachi, and it’s been here for a long time. It’s not just a place where women come to get ready; we also spend a lot of our time training girls who want to learn how to do this work themselves. The training centre part of the business keeps us very busy. There are always students practicing on mannequins or helping out with the smaller tasks. It can get a bit loud with all the talking and the hair dryers going at once. G T Road is always noisy with trucks and cars, so it’s never really quiet here. We have a few rooms set up for different things. Some days are purely for classes, and other days we are focused on the local ladies who need a haircut or some threading. The floors are usually covered in bits of thread or hair, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a place of learning and work. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. It’s just a practical space where people learn a trade and get their beauty needs taken care of. Being near Preetam Nagar More means we see a lot of foot traffic every single day. We’ve been a part of this Allahabad neighborhood for years. Most people just walk in without an appointment and we try to help them out.
