Shanti Classes

If you head over to Bai Ka Bagh, you’ll find us at number 123. Shanti Classes is located in a pretty residential part of Allahabad, so it’s a bit quieter than being out on the main highway. The house where we hold the classes has a small courtyard in the front where students park their bicycles. It’s a very simple setup. We use the ground floor rooms for the lessons. There are no fancy signs or bright lights. It just looks like a normal house from the outside. Inside, we have rows of desks and a few whiteboards. We’ve been here in Bai Ka Bagh for a long time now, so most of the neighbors know us. Sometimes we have to tell the kids to keep their voices down when they are leaving so they don’t bother the people living next door. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We don’t follow a strict corporate schedule; if a student needs an extra twenty minutes to finish a problem, we just stay late. We drink a lot of water from the clay pot in the corner during the summer. It’s just a basic, honest place to learn. We don't try to be something we're not. We are just a local coaching center helping out the kids in the neighborhood with their schoolwork and exams. Every day is pretty much the same, just sitting down and going through the lessons together.
