Rio Mens Parlour

Rio Mens Parlour is situated over at 233A/35A on Nyay Marg. We are in the Ashok Nagar area of Allahabad, not too far from the Baba Chauraha. It’s a decent spot for a men’s shop because there’s always a bit of movement around the crossroads there. We’ve got the usual setup for a local barber shop. A few revolving chairs, some big mirrors that could use a good wipe, and all our clippers and razors laid out on the counter. It’s a place where guys can just sit down, get a haircut, and maybe talk about whatever is going on in the city. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a basic parlour for the men around Ashok Nagar. You’ll find us there most days, usually with a few people waiting and reading the paper or looking at their phones. The walls have some old pictures on them, and the floor usually has a bit of hair from the last customer who was in. We try to keep it tidy, but when it’s busy, that’s hard to do perfectly. Being near Baba Chauraha means we get all sorts of people walking in. Some are students, some are older men who have lived in Allahabad their whole lives. We just give them a clean cut and send them on their way. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy. We don’t have any fancy mission, we just want to keep the shop running and do a good job.
