Rajiv Classes is a bit tucked away, so you have to look for the Beldiar Press Compound. We are situated right in front of AU and behind the KPU hostel. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find the compound, we are easy to spot. Being so close to the university and the hostels means there are always students around, which gives the place a lot of energy. The building itself is quite old. We have a few rooms that we’ve converted into classrooms. The paint is peeling a little in the corners, but the rooms are large and they get a good breeze. We don’t have fancy equipment or plush chairs. It’s just benches and desks like you’d see in any regular school. Rajiv is usually around, either talking to a parent or helping someone with a difficult chapter. We keep a lot of old question papers stacked up in the corner for anyone to use. The compound is relatively quiet compared to the main streets of Allahabad, which is good for concentration. It’s not a polished business. We are just a group of people who know our subjects and want to help the local students get through their exams. Most people find us because they live in the hostels nearby. It’s a convenient spot for them. We just open up the doors every morning and get to work with whoever walks in the door.
