Om Shanthi Study Centre

The study centre is located on G.T Road in the Tularam Bagh area. It’s pretty easy to spot because we are right near the Geeta Neeketan Mandir. You can often hear the temple bells from our rooms, which is actually quite nice during a long afternoon of studying. Being on G.T Road means there is always traffic and the sound of horns, but you get used to it after a few days. Om Shanthi Study Centre is just a few rooms we’ve set up for students who need a place to focus. We have some basic wooden desks and a few fans that hum quite loudly. It isn't a high-tech facility. We just have the basics that you need to get through a textbook. The walls are covered with a few old calendars and some notes pinned up for the students to see. We spend a lot of time just sitting and going through problems. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break to stretch. It’s a very local operation. We know most of the families in Tularam Bagh by now. The kids walk over from the nearby streets. We keep the place open late because that's when most of the hard work happens. It’s just a plain, honest spot on a busy road where people come to put their heads down and study. We don't have any big marketing plans, just the daily routine of classes and books.
