Neelam Beauty Parlour & Saree Centre

I started this place in Bhusauli Tola a long time back because I wanted a spot where neighbors could get ready and maybe find a nice saree too. It is right here at 110 in Khuldabad, Allahabad. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on weekends, especially when someone has a wedding to attend, but we just manage. I handle the beauty work and keep a stock of sarees in the same space. It is not a big, fancy showroom with glass walls, just a regular shop where people feel okay sitting down for an hour. People from around Allahabad - 211001 come by when they need a haircut or just want to see what new clothes arrived. I don't really have a big staff, it is mostly just me and a helper. We keep things simple. The mirrors are old and the chairs have been here since the start, but they work fine. When you walk into Khuldabad, you will find us easily. It is practical for the ladies living nearby who don't want to travel far for basic things. Most days I am just tidying up the saree racks or fixing someone’s hair. It’s a quiet life here. I try to keep the place clean, though dust from the street comes in. That is just how it is in this part of town. We are open most days until the evening light goes.
