Navkailash Mahila Prerana Producer Company Limited is a group of women from Bisahijan Kala. We are located in Prayagraj, and our main base is in the village. This company is run by the ladies here who want to do something for themselves. We aren't a big business with a lot of money. We are just neighbors who decided to join up and form a producer company. It's a way for us to get our products to market together. Bisahijan Kala is a small place and everyone knows each other. We use house number 1 in the village for our official work. It's not a formal office. We usually sit on the floor or on some chairs and talk about our production. Prayagraj is a big city but we are out in the rural part where things move a bit slower. We don't have fancy titles or corporate rules that don't make sense to us. We just follow what we know about our work. It’s about the women in this village getting a bit of a head start. We do the work ourselves and we manage the company ourselves too. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the kids around and the daily chores, but we make it work. Navkailash Mahila Prerana is just our way of showing that the women here in Prayagraj can handle their own business affairs and keep our traditions alive.
