Our group is based over in Jari Bazar, specifically in Piprahata. It’s a busy little area, especially on market days. This company is mostly run by the women here in the Bara region. We felt like we needed a way to manage our own work and the things we produce without having to rely on outsiders so much. It started small, just a few of us talking under a tree, and now we have this official producer company. Our office is right there in the bazar, so it's easy for the members to drop in after they finish their chores or work in the fields. It can get a bit loud with all the noise from the market, but we don't mind. We handle various products that the local women make or grow. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure everyone gets their fair share and the records are kept straight. We aren't professional office workers, we’re just neighbors who decided to take things into our own hands. We help each other out when someone is busy with their family or their farm. It's a practical way to live. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. People know who we are because we’ve lived here forever. It's just about getting the work done and looking out for one another. It keeps us busy and connected to the neighborhood, and that's enough for us most days.
