M D D M I College

Out in Mohan Nagar, specifically in the Hathigahan part of Allahabad, you’ll come across M D D M I College. It’s been sitting there for a good number of years now. The area is fairly typical for this part of the city, with a mix of houses and small shops nearby. Our college isn't the biggest place you'll ever see, but it serves the people living around here well enough. We have students coming in every morning, some on cycles and some walking from the bus stop. The staff stays busy with the usual administrative tasks that come with a college. We try to keep the grounds tidy, though the grass grows fast when it rains. The classrooms have the basic stuff needed for learning. It’s not a place with shiny new glass buildings or anything like that. We just focus on the actual teaching part. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or open the windows wider to get some light. People know us by the name on the wall. We don’t spend money on big advertisements because everyone around here already knows where we are. It’s a practical environment for getting an education. We just show up, do the work, and go home, much like everyone else in Allahabad. It’s a straightforward place with a lot of history in the local community that we enjoy being a part of.
