Hair N There Salon & Spa

Our place, Hair N There Salon & Spa, is located right on MG Marg in Civil Lines. It’s number 25/51, sitting just across from Hotel Samrat. If you know Allahabad, you know how busy this stretch gets. There is always someone honking or walking by. We’ve been here for a while, watching the cars go by through the front glass. It’s a bit of a mix here; we get travelers staying at the hotel and locals who have lived in Civil Lines their whole lives. The interior is okay, we have the usual salon chairs and some spa rooms in the back. It stays cool inside because of the high ceilings. Sometimes when the water pressure is low, we have to wait a bit, but mostly everything runs fine. We spend a lot of time sweeping up hair. It’s a never-ending job. The staff likes to listen to the radio while they work, usually some old songs or the news. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just cutting hair and giving massages when people feel tired. It’s a good spot to sit and rest for an hour while you get your beard trimmed. The sun hits the front of the shop in the late afternoon, so we pull the curtains a bit. We like the rhythm of this street. It’s steady and predictable. Most days are just about keeping the chairs full and making sure the towels are dry.
