Gaus Hair Dresser

Our shop, Gaus Hair Dresser, is over at 12, Kareli in Allahabad. We are very close to the Jamuna Valley School, so we hear the school bells and the children playing all through the day. Gaus has been running this place for years and it is a very basic setup. We have a few stations for cutting hair and a small area where people can sit while they wait. A lot of the neighborhood fathers bring their sons here for a haircut after school lets out. It’s a convenient spot for them and we know most of the families around here. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive products. Everything we use is just the standard stuff you find in any local barber shop. We keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean in that blue water. The neighborhood is mostly quiet except for the school traffic in the mornings and afternoons. We don't take appointments, so you just show up and if a chair is empty, you sit down. If not, you wait and maybe have some tea from the shop next door. It’s a relaxed place where nobody is in too much of a hurry. We do a lot of simple beard trims and regular haircuts for men. It is just a small business that serves the people living in Kareli. We try to do a good job so the neighbors keep coming back.
