We are located in the Civil Lines area of Allahabad, which most people know is pretty much the center of everything here. Being near Hira Halwai Chauraha means there is always a smell of sweets or fried snacks in the air, especially in the evenings when the crowd builds up. Our shop isn't hard to find once you get to that crossing. The 211001 pin code covers a lot of ground, but this specific corner is always humming with people going to the markets or the offices nearby. We've been operating out of this spot for a while now. The building is older, but it holds up well enough. We keep the chairs ready and the towels stacked. It’s usually just a couple of us handling everything from the morning until we close up late. Allahabad can get quite chilly in the winter and then incredibly hot, so we’re always adjusting the setup to keep people comfortable. We don't have a big sign or flashy lights. People usually just hear about us from their neighbors or see us while they are out getting food at the chauraha. It’s a practical little space. We spend our downtime chatting about the news or what’s happening on the street outside. It’s just a normal day-to-day business where we try to do the job right and keep the floor swept. There’s no big secret to it, just staying consistent at the same spot near the halwai shop.
