Jagadeeswara Slates

Our registered office is over at 3/60, Aravindha Gosh Street. Jagadeeswara Slates has been part of this community for a long time. When people think of slates, they often think of old schoolrooms, but we still handle quite a bit of it here for different uses. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much from the other houses on the street. Inside, it smells a bit like stone and earth. We don't have a big manufacturing plant right here at this address; it's more for the business side of things and keeping our records straight. The street is usually quiet, except for when the school nearby lets out and all the children walk past our door. We have some samples lying around, different thicknesses and shades of grey and black. Sometimes people come in asking for slate for flooring or for small writing boards like they used in the old days. We talk to them sitting across a wooden table that’s been here since the start. It’s a very straightforward way of working without any fancy technology. We don't use computers for everything; there are still plenty of handwritten ledgers and notebooks around the office. It’s a slow-paced environment compared to the big cities. We take our time to make sure the orders are correct before they get sent out to the customers. Most of the people who work here have lived in this area their whole lives and know everyone. We just keep doing what we know, providing slates to whoever needs them.
