Our place is down in Babu Lane, specifically at Google Net 36. We are right opposite Rajeshwari Mahal. If there is a wedding or a big function happening at the Mahal, the whole lane gets blocked with cars and it gets quite loud with music. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our office is a simple setup where we handle the day-to-day tasks of running a travel agency. It’s mostly just making sure the cars arrive on time and that the guest house bookings are confirmed. We have a couple of old desks and a lot of paper everywhere. In Port Blair, you still need a lot of physical copies of things. We spend a good chunk of our day at the jetty or the airport, meeting people and making sure they have what they need. It’s a local business through and through. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us answering the phone and writing down details in our ledgers. Sometimes we have to explain to people that things move at a different pace here than on the mainland. You can't rush the ocean. We focus on the details that keep a trip from falling apart. It’s mostly about knowing the right people to call when a flight is delayed or a road is closed. We just keep our heads down and do the work from our little corner of Babu Lane.
