Our shop is at No 22 on Yamunai Street, over in Vasanth Nagar. Being in Muthialpet, we get a lot of the coastal humidity, which keeps us very busy at Zen Air Conditioners. Most of the day is spent handling AC units, whether they’re coming in for a fix or being prepped for a new installation. It’s a noisy place sometimes with the sound of compressors being tested. We aren't a huge team, just a few of us who know our way around a cooling system. We don't use a lot of fancy talk; we just tell people why their unit stopped working and what it takes to get it running again. The street outside is usually quiet enough, but we have delivery vans coming in and out quite a bit. Sometimes we run out of spare parts and have to wait for a shipment, which can be a bit of a headache when the weather is boiling. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a bit, so the locals know where to find us if their house gets too hot. We don’t have a shiny showroom. It’s more of a practical space with tools, ladders, and gauges everywhere. It’s just what we do to make a living. We try to be fair and just get the job done so we can get home to our own families. It isn't always easy work, but it is necessary in this heat.
